Kale and Banana Smoothie

Kale is a great source of nutrients like vitamin A, C, and K.

Total time: 5 minutes

Makes: 3 servings
(1/2 cup each)

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups (500 ml) chopped fresh or frozen kale

  • 1 banana

  • ½ cup (125 ml) 2% milk (or milk alternative of choice)

  • 1 tsp. (5 ml) honey

  • 1 tbsp. flax (optional)

How To:
  1. Add flax seeds (if desired) to your blender and grind.

  2. Add the kale, banana, almond milk (or milk of choice), and honey. Blend for 2 minutes.

Make it Fun!

Experiment with different flavours by letting your little chef choose different fruits to add. Frozen strawberries or raspberries are always a hit!

For Leftovers... 

Made too much? Pour leftovers into popsicle molds or small plastic cups, add popsicle sticks, and freeze. Enjoy your frozen treat days later!
