Do you know Canada's Food Guide?

Have some fun with your kids and teach them to identify what foods belong to the different food groups. For a balanced meal, make sure to include 3 out of the 4 food groups during meals and at least 2 food groups for snacks! For example have an apple with cheese as a snack (veggies & fruit + milk and alternatives).

The four food groups:

  • Vegetables and Fruit

  • Grain products

  • Milk and Alternatives

  • Meat and Alternatives
