Make it Fun!

Put the taco salad on a long piece of lettuce and let the little chef’s play with their “lettuce boats!”

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 8 minutes

Makes: 6 servings

  • 1 lb (454 g) extra lean ground beef

  • 1 packet of taco seasoning

  • 6 cups chopped romaine lettuce

  • 2 diced tomatoes

  • ½ cup (125 ml) shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) sour cream

How To:
  1. Spray a non-stick pan with cooking spray and heat over medium heat.

  2. Add ground beef and taco seasoning (use as directed). Stir and sauté until no pink color remains, about 8 minutes.

  3. Serve taco beef over a bed of lettuce and tomatoes. Top with cheese, sour cream and any other additional toppings.

For Leftovers... 

Use the taco salad as a pizza topping or make into a burrito and freeze for later!
