Make it Fun!
Get the little chef’s to come up with as many “homes” for the tuna salad as they can. Such as crackers, celery, cucumbers, etc.
Prep time: 10 minutes
Makes: 2 servings
2 cans light flaked tuna, drained
2 tbsp. (30 ml) mayonnaise
1 tsp (5 ml) mustard
¼ cup (60 ml) finely diced cucumber
In a serving bowl, mix together the tuna, mayonnaise, mustard and cucumber. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Serve on whole-grain bread or use as filling for a lettuce boat or a pepper cup to add extra veggies to the meal.
Make into tuna salad patties! These can be a great substitute for burgers and hotdogs at a barbeque.
