Yummy Hummus

Make it Fun!
Encourage kids to use their imagination while dipping. Where adults see a carrot being dipped in hummus, kids may see a diver jumping into a pool, a bee collecting pollen, or a plane picking up cargo!

Prep time: 5 minutes
Makes: 4 servings
Ingredients:

1 can (15 oz) (450 g) garbanzo beans (chickpeas), drained, liquid reserved

2 cloves garlic, crushed

2 tsp. (10 ml) ground cumin

1 tbsp. (15 ml) olive oil

1 tbsp. (15 ml) lemon juice

1/4 tsp. (1.25 ml) paprika
How To:

In a blender or food processor combine garbanzo beans, garlic, cumin, olive oil, lemon juice, and paprika.

Blend on low speed, gradually adding reserved bean liquid, until desired consistency is achieved.

Add salt and pepper to taste.
